I Love Amy Jo

Last month, our dear friend and amazing artist Akiko Stehrenberger’s (check out her awesomeness here: www.akikomatic.com ) mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that is impeding her breathing. Combined with many ongoing ailments, her doctors have concluded she needs 24-hour care and to start a 5 day a week radiation treatment right away. Unfortunately, her insurance will only cover one of the two, each extremely expensive. We’re hoping to raise enough money to get the treatment and care she needs. We are throwing an art show and 100% of proceeds will go directly to her mom.

Hopefully someday we as a country can figure out this health insurance shitshow, because getting the healthcare a human needs should be not be a privilege.
