Candelaria

Candelaria is a taqueria and bar in the Marais that opened at the beginning of March 2011. I painted a mural in the 'cave', and here's a nice write up on California Home + Design. David and Cheri do amazing work and are really fun to hang out with. Cheers to the whole crew! I'm so happy I got to meet all of you!

Oh, this? Just some little thing I threw together.

Just kidding. This is part of a DubLab project called 'Dream Scene'! . Folks made fictitious rock posters, and all 3 bands I picked WERE actual bands! The only one that is still going strong is Bunny Rabbit. You can check it at .

I love this little painting. When I say 'little' I mean miniscule. It's only about 8 x 10 inches or something crazy. Those little birds were inspired by Vidal Sassoon jeans. The jeans I longed to squeeze my little body into when I was in the 5th grade. A German fashion designer now owns it. I can feel his love for Sassoon jeans from here.
